'Symphony of Style'
Fashion Show

After months of preparation, the Symphony of Style fashion show drew in hundreds of people for the debut of student fashion achievements on Saturday.

The day began as early as 3 p.m. for Allie Woodard and other members of Style Line, as well as hired makeup artists, the models and designers. The launch party began at 6:45 p.m. and extended until 9 p.m.

After a brief introduction from Woodard and Soekardono about the event, each of the collections got their moment to shine. Models made their way down the staircase, posed for a camera, and proceeded down the runway where they ended on a raised platform, posing for the audience.

 

“Oh, I loved it. That was great,” said Ann, a woman who attended the event. “It was cool to see all the different students and their bodies of work. I enjoyed the [collections] with solid styling from head to toe.” She heard about the event through her friend who was a featured model in one of the collections.

Once the runway shows had come to an end, the models and designers were given the chance to mingle with each other and the rest of the audience.

“My goal for the event [was] for all the students to really have this experience to explore their passion for the fashion industry and really gain that experience to put on their resumes,” said Woodard about the event. “This is really a celebration of student work in fashion.”
